Science of Ice Cream

Children will find out more about the science behind ice cream through videos, written resource materials and their own independent research. Using this box, children will make and sample their own different types of ice cream and be encouraged to test their new products, make modifications and other ice cream recipes, either from pre-prepared instructions or their own imagination.

Each box includes:

• High quality equipment needed to make ice cream and/or sorbet, which can be used again and again
• Materials including experiments and activities to keep them busy for hours
• Phosphor worksheets focused on the science behind food and linked to the national curriculum
• Please note ice and ingredients are not included in the box
